E. K. Huckaby

So far in my life I have filled six wells. I think this is a high number for someone not in the wellfilling trade. All were long dry and lent themselves to sensible motives of neighborhood safety and convenience of a rubbish tip. This was prior to the Water Wells Standards Act of 1985, requiring a fill of stone and clay.

A wish was made with every piece cast in. Imagine the moment when a baremetal boxspring was rolled into a cylinder and put in. It slightly unfurled and shimmied its way down, glissando.
