This site-specific public work spans one hundred feet on the college campus at the intersection of E. College Ave. and S. McDonough St. Lisa Tuttle's evocative art "speaks to acknowledged and unacknowledged southern history that underlies current realities." This compelling sequence of photographs tell of home and hope, holding the sweet humidity of the South in rich colors and texture, steeped in the history of civil rights. Tuttle's work does not illustrate a specific incident, but kindles emotions that encourage the viewer to look forward through the veils of the past. |
