This animation is designed to raise awareness about the crisis in Darfur where, since 2003, more than 250 thousand people have been killed and 2.6 million are homeless. Some are living in makeshift tent camps as seen here, but the violence continues even in the camps.

The process used to make this work involved 307 separate images all produced on a single sheet of paper, photographed as each change was made, and then the images were recorded in succession to create the movie.
