All Small Redux

Garden of Eden (Remnants of Creation) came into production by contemplating the residue at the end of a painting session. As I scraped my palette, oil paint and medium collectively colliding in a haphazard manner, I marveled at the glorious freedom such globules represented; I began to swipe the sensuous matter onto wood. The result was a series of works with varying patterns, coloration, atmosphere, and distinction. It seemed as if I had experienced such imagery before, as a child perhaps, in the intimate quarters of an innocent mind and imaginary lands. Garden of Eden (Remnants of Creation) speaks of intimacy, and the raw and sensuous quality of materials that I rejoice in and explore as I paint.
