When I am in the woods I feel connections. My body can sense an energy that moves between all things: between leaves, branches, stones and decaying debris on the ground. I strive to access this energy and tap into the non-verbal communication between inner and outer worlds and between our bodies and our environment. When I work I aim for this kind of presence and sensitivity that is similar to a flock of birds moving on unseen currents or invisible wind. Without a leader they appear as one being making tiny adjustments to each other, to the air, to noise and to the surrounding space and environment. Each of these tiny movements requires complete presence in action. I explore this sensory language surrendering into the flow of movement of my intuition. Narrative and abstracted shapes and patterns unfold and emerge to unlock a sense of essence and spirit in and between things.
